Want to become a judge?
Becoming a judge is not that difficult. We encourage pilots to become judges as well.
You can contact our Chief Judge (email him) for more information.
MAASA has adopted the Australian Precision Aerobatics (APA) Regional Judging Exam as a requirement for judging in South Africa. At the moment it is not obligatory but it is intended to become a prerequisite for 2019. Pilots are encouraged to write the exam as well as it will provide them with insight as to where and why their scores are being downgraded. A thorough knowledge of the Manouvre Execution Guide will be of assistance.
Please follow this link to the exam page. There are 30 questions with a pass rate of 80%. Should you pass a copy of your certificate will automatically be emailed to the Chief Judge.
